Concerns were raised for a woman on a bridge over the A282 near the Dartford Crossing
Part of the M25 was blocked after concerns were raised for a woman on a bridge over the motorway heading to the Dartford Crossing.
Kent Police was called at 9.30am on Sunday due to concern for the welfare of the woman on the bridge in Watling Street as it crosses the A282.
There were severe delays and motorists were advised to avoid the area with the road closed both ways.
The clockwise route was reopened first followed by the Essex-bound carriageway of the A282 just before 12.30pm.
Kent Police said the woman was safe and with ambulance staff shortly before noon.
