A defender has fractured his nose after bravely heading the ball away from TOWIE star and Welling trialist Dan Osborne’s path.
Chatham Town’s Freeman Rogers collided head-first with the post in the Kent Senior Cup fixture which can be seen in the sickening footage above.

And Osborne, who is wearing the number 12 shirt in the video, would have been there to pounce if it was not for Rogers’ heroics.

The 20-year-old defender was treated by physios from both sides and his fractured nose required internal stitches.

ITVBe heartthrob Osborne turned out for The Wings on Monday after impressing in a charity match where he netted a hat-trick last month.
Welling beat Chatham Town 6-1 in the cup game and tweeted: “Our best wishes go to the Chatham Town player who was injured in a sickening collision with the goal post tonight. Thankfully he got up.”
