Tributes have been paid to a biker killed in a motorcycle crash in Dartford on Thursday (September 29). 

The female passenger, thought to be his partner, was seriously injured.

The victim has been named locally as Ollie Sherwood, reportedly from Eltham.

Police, fire crews and paramedics rushed to the smash in Shepherds Lane just before 5pm.

The man who was riding a Yamaha motorbike died at the scene, while a female passenger on the vehicle was flown by air ambulance to a London hospital.

She suffered serious injuries, Kent Police said.

A fundraiser has been set up for Mr Sherwood, who was said to be a father to three girls.

A friend of Mr Sherwood spoke to News Shopper about the gofundme page:

"We hope to support his family in this extremely difficult time.

"He was a much loved son, brother and father to three beautiful girls.

"We also want to send our best wishes to his partner who was sadly injured in the crash.

"Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.

"RIP Ollie."

Officers are now appealing for witnesses as they investigate the crash involving a dark coloured Vauxhall Insignia and a blue Yamaha motorbike.

Anyone who saw the collision or the vehicle before the crash is urged to call the witness appeal line on 01622 798538.
