Bexley police are heightening their presence in Northumberland Heath with more fights rumoured to take place.

The news comes after a brawl between more than 100 schoolchildren broke out in the area on Monday evening.

Officers arrested seven people, aged 15 to 21, while two teens were taken to a south London hospital for treatment.

Some of the youngsters, who are believed to be between the ages of 13 and 21, were reportedly armed with baseball bats, knives and firearms.

Parents are concerned there could be a repeat of Monday’s violence today.

But the Met Police have assured the public they will be ready to deal with it.
