POP star George Michael donated more than a thousand tickets to give thanks to nurses.
The singer gave away 1,500 tickets to staff at Lewisham Hospital for his concert, which took place at Wembley Stadium on June 9.
The tickets, worth £100, were handed out to approximately 400 nurses who formed a long queue in the hospital's reception, on June 7.
The rest were given to other staff before the show.
Michael reportedly spent tens of thousands of pounds buying 6,000 tickets for NHS nurses from around the UK.
He gave the tickets away as a gesture to all nurses because of the quality treatment his mother received before she died in 1997.
Michael held two concerts at Wembley, the other occurring the night before on June 8.
The nurses were joined by 75,000 other fans at the brand new venue.
Lewisham Hospital says it was fortunate to get the tickets for staff, because the first hospital to be offered the tickets said no, thinking the call was a hoax.
