A Bromley based performing arts academy is appearing on TV screens as the set of a new structured reality show on E4.

Stage School follows the lives of students and teachers D&B Academy of Performing Arts in Bromley Road.

Taking viewers behind the scenes on a rollercoaster journey of auditions, love affairs and jazz hands, the new show comes from the makers of cult hit Pineapple Dance Studios.

Established since 2000, the academy is run by the passionate and no nonsense Sullivan sisters Donna and Bonnie.

Bonnie said: “The D&B studios have been filled with cameras and crew over the last few months and we are thrilled that the show has now hit our TV screens.

“Initial feedback has been positive so we are looking forward to a successful run.”

As part of the 17-strong group of students, the program features three Bromley locals.

Durone, a 22-year-old singer, dancer and actor, is described as the most talented “triple threat” student at the college.

Also both from Bromley, Angela, 24, dreams of a West End Role and Mohammed, 19, has his sights set on a career in acting.

Hitting TV screens every weekday at 7.30pm, the show covers every aspect of training needed to develop well balanced, versatile triple-threat performers.

Jonathan Stadlen, executive producer and managing director of Knickerbockerglory, the production company behind Stage School, said: “We wanted to capture the drama, hard work and exuberance of the pupils and getting them to break into song felt a natural next step on from watching their rehearsals and performances.”
