A man reportedly suffered a heart attack at the wheel of his car before crashing into a wall in Plumstead.
The incident happened in Plumstead High Street at about 8pm yesterday and police closed the road in both directions of traffic.
The man was taken to a south London hospital, and his condition is not yet known.
Martin Peaple said on Twitter: “Plumstead High Street closed both ways by police, believed a man had [a] heart attack while driving and crashed.”
The road was reopened at 12.30am.
