Around 60 firefighters and officers tackled a fire on an industrial estate in Charlton.
Two single storey buildings on an industrial estate were alight at the estate in Westmoor Street in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The first unit was completely destroyed by the fire and the second partially damaged.
Station Manager Chris Young who was at the scene said: “This was a well developed fire when crews arrived and we worked quickly to stop the fire spreading to other units.”
Eight fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended the scene from fire stations including Plumstead, East Greenwich, Greenwich, Deptford and Lewisham fire stations.
The Brigade was called at 2.38am and the fire was under control at 4.56am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
