Cocaine valued at more than £200,000 has led to a South Darenth drug dealer being jailed for four years.

Nicholas Bubb, 26, of Esparto Way, was jailed at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday after being charged with possession with intent to supply.

The court heard how Bubb was stopped by Kent Police at about 3pm while driving on the southbound carriageway of the A249 near Sittingbourne on June 23.

Inside the car officers found two kilos of cocaine, which Bubb admitted he was intending to sell on.

The cocaine was wrapped inside a bag which had the word "Amsterdam" written on it.

As part of the investigation officers searched Bubb’s address and found several mobile phones, scales and "tick lists" which contained various numbers and names.

Bubb, who was unemployed at the time, admitted he had travelled to Sittingbourne earlier that day and had picked up the drugs when officers had stopped him on his way home.

Detective Constable Chris Weatherstone said: “Bubb admitted to possessing cocaine with the intention of selling it on.

“But until the point of being caught he did not stop to think about the implications his actions could have on the people who may have consumed this drug.

“Cocaine, as with any drug, can impact not only on the user’s life negatively, but also their friends and family.”
