An ex-Petts Wood teacher who was jailed for fleeing to France with an underage girl has reportedly transformed into a rocker and got himself a new girlfriend.

The 33-year-old, who formerly taught at Bromley Common’s Bishop Justus School, groomed his teenage pupil at a school in Eastbourne.

In 2012 he fled to France with the 15-year-old, sparking an eight-day manhunt.

Jeremy Forrest, formerly of Chislehurst Road, was jailed for five-and-a-half years in June 2013 for child abduction and five charges of sexual activity with a child.

Since he was released in July 2015, he has reportedly reinvented himself as a rock musician.News Shopper:

Forrest has reportedly been dating Cassie McGeough, 29, for three months.

But friends told the Sun they are worried about Ms McGeough getting involved with the notorious ex-teacher.

They say the pair who are thought to have met in a pub, have already talked about having a baby together.

“She said he makes her laugh.

“She didn’t know who he was when they met, and she seems to believe anything he tells her.

“He told her he only ran away with the girl because she was going to go anyway and he wanted to make sure she was safe.

“I think he told her quite soon after they met about his past but seems to have sugar-coated it.”

In a candid interview with the Sun in 2013, Forrest's teen victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she bonded with her teacher over music.

In an interview with the newspaper, she claimed she had instigated the relationship with her teacher.

The victim's mother wrote a book called ‘The Runaway Schoolgirl’, and in it blamed herself for failing to spot the relationship between her daughter and the ex-maths teacher.
