Southeastern train lines through Petts Wood have reopened after an earlier signalling problems.

Two of the four lines at Petts Wood were blocked since 6.30am because of signalling problems between there and Chislehurst.

The disruption lasted until around 11am, when both lines reopened.

Trains were being cancelled, delayed and diverted while Network Rail engineers worked to fix the problem.

A spokesman for Southeastern said: "Owing to signalling problems between Petts Wood and Chislehurst this morning, we have a reduced amount of lines running between the two locations.

"Several services will be diverted via Bat & Ball to reduce congestion in the area.

"Delays and congestion are to be for the rest of the morning service until Network Rail rectify the issue."

Frustrated Southeastern passengers took to social media, after being left stranded this morning.
