Two broken down cars on the A2 between the South Circular Road in Eltham and Kidbrooke have created traffic headaches for drivers in south-east London this morning (July 25).
On both sides of the South Circular junction, big tailbacks have been reported as far back as Riefield Road in Falconwood resulting in a late start for most.
Drivers approaching Westhorne Avenue between Clifton's Roundabout and Verdant Lane, Hither Green, have been queuing for nearly an hour as motorists journey towards Catford.
There are also reports of very slow traffic in Shooters Hill Road into town between Stratheden Road and Greenwich High Road, Deptford Bridge.
Out in north Kent, there is slow traffic along Watling Street as drivers head towards London at Wrotham Road near the Gravesend / Tollgate Services.
These drivers will be joining others on the M25 between the Darenth Interchange (Junction 2) and the Swanley Interchange (Junction 3), currently moving at a snail's pace towards London.
