Mary J Blige and neo-soul legend Maxwell have been announced as a headliners for a double bill at BluesFest in Greenwich this autumn.
The festival will see top names performing all over the The O2 complex from October 28 to 30, with gigs in the main arena, IndigO2 and Brooklyn Bowl.
Multi-Grammy Award winner Mary J Blige and the singer who released the ground breaking Urban Hang Suite album will team up for a huge double bill on the Friday night.
It will be Maxwell’s first London show in nearly a decade.
Other artists previously announced include Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Paul Rodgers’ rock supergroup Bad Company and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
A one-off star-studded gig to celebrate Lewisham’s Rolling Stone Bill Wyman’s 80th birthday features Mark Knopfler, Bob Geldof, Imelda May and Mick Hucknall among others.
