The blistering heat of the warmest day of the year so far could today (July 20) make way for thunderstorms.
Tuesday saw sweltering temperatures in the region, which peaked in south-east London and north Kent at about 32C.
According to the Met Office, another hot and humid day is expected today, with long periods of occasionally hazy sunshine.

However some isolated thundery showers could develop through the afternoon and evening.
