A road in Woolwich was closed due to a chemical spill.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to Beresford Street at 2.36pm yesterday (July 7). Four fire engines were sent to the scene.
A spokeswoman for the Brigade said: "We were called to reports of liquid leaking from a drum.
"Crews are there to neutralise the spillage."
LFB left the scene at 5.25pm and the Metropolitan Police also attended.
Buses were on diversion but later returned to route.
