Traffic is backed up on the M25 in Kent this morning after lanes were closed to rescue a man from a bridge.
Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man on a bridge in Dartford at 7.30am.
The man is now with officers and both carriages on the A282 between junction 1A and 1B were closed.
Lanes have since reopened but there is currently queueing traffic for eight miles.
Highways England estimates an hour of travelling time on the Kent side of the Dartford Crossing.
