A large fire has broken out in Crayford.
Mattresses and rubbish burst into flames in Thames Road just after 10.15am today (June 29).
Kent Fire and Rescue Service warned people to keep doors and windows closed to avoid smoke from the blaze getting into their homes.
A spokesman said: "Residents are being warned to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to a large fire in Thames Road, Crayford, involving a large quantity of waste material and mattresses that is creating a large smoke plume in area."
Two fire engines were on the scene until 11.30am.
