Stunning images of up to 50 hot air balloons floating over London have been shared on social media.
Forget worms, early birds caught the colourful sight of the Lord Mayor's Balloon Regatta as it danced over the Thames this morning (June 19).

Londoners snapped the balloons from as far afield as Bexleyheath while beautiful shots of the regatta over the iconic O2 in Greenwich emerged.

The stunt, which was relaunched last year, was held in a bid to raise funds for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal charity and raise awareness of the City of London.
