Thieves used stolen farm equipment in an attempt to steal a cash machine from a Tesco Express store in Meopham.
The machinery was reportedly used in a failed bid to remove the ATM from the wall of the supermarket in The Parade, Wrotham Road, at 3.45am yesterday (June 18).
The machine was not taken but was damaged.
No significant structural damage was caused to the building.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The farming equipment is also reported to have been stolen.
"Enquiries into this are ongoing and, at present, no suspects have been identified.
"The store affected is trading as normal."
