An 88-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in Northfleet.
The pensioner, who was using a walking stick to help her cross the road, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in London Road just after 11.50am yesterday (May 30).
Kent Police have confirmed she was hit by a blue Audi A6 near the junction with Pier Road.

The driver of the car, a 27-year-old man from Northfleet, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death while uninsured.
He has been bailed until Monday 22 August to allow enquiries to continue.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, or anyone who saw the victim walking with the aid of a stick in the moments leading up to the incident.
They would also like to hear from the drivers of a grey Citroen Berlingo van or similar, and a small red Vauxhall car, who may be able to provide important information to aid their investigation.
People with information can call the appeal line on 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk quoting reference DB/MW/104-16.
