A female jogger was sexually assaulted during an early-morning run in Thamesmead earlier this month.

The victim, who is in her 50s, was running along Manorway Green park, just off Crossways, at around 5.30am on Monday May 16.

When she reached the Thames Path and stopped to stretch, she saw a man walking towards her – who then approached the woman and crudely propositioned her, whilst claiming he was only trying to be friendly.

When the victim told the man to leave her alone he grabbed her, but she managed to struggle free and run off to Manorway Green park.
