A singing dog who is EastEnders’ biggest four-legged fan is looking for a new owner to watch the shenanigans in Howl-bert Square, after 400 days in Brands Hatch kennels.
From Ethel’s pug Willy, to TV legend Wellard, and Danny Dyer’s impressive matriarch Lady Di – pets have often stolen the show on the London soap.
But sadly Cockney Chihuahua Jack Russel cross Honey, who was taken to Brands Hatch in March last year, is having some difficulty finding her perfect faaaaamily.
The seven-year-old fur ball has been at the Battersea home 11 times longer than the average pooch, and was recently filmed howling along to the legendary theme tune by her foster mum.
Honey likes snuggling up in bed and on the sofa
Rehoming and welfare manager Michelle Bevan said: “We don’t know why she took such a shine to EastEnders.
“Honey is just as sweet as her name implies, especially once she builds a bond with you, and she’ll be your best friend if you’re happy to play with her.
“She’s such a character – getting into bed, tucking herself in and lounging on the sofa.
“She loves to hide treats all over the house and her foster carer has even found them hidden under her pillow, in the bathroom and in her walking shoes.
Could YOU take Honey for walks on the beach?
“Honey has got a shy side and is looking for experienced and understanding new owners who can help her come out of her shell.
“Once you’ve got her trust, she’s a devoted little lady. Honey really deserves a second chance and a permanent home where she’ll never miss an episode of her favourite soap.”
