Year 13 pupils at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School have ‘gone bonkers’ as they prepare to leave class for the last time.

To celebrate the end of seven years at the school in Hurst Road, Sidcup, pupils filmed their 2016 leavers’ video which has already been watched by over 11,000 people on YouTube.

After the success of last year’s video, teachers and pupils showcased their best dance moves in the 4-minute long clip set to Dizzee Rascal’s song Bonkers.

And the rapper himself even gave them a shout out on social media, tweeting: “This is wicked, good luck guys”.

In the video’s first 24 hours online it was viewed an impressive 6,000 times.

Head girl and year 13 pupil Madeleine Legemah said the video “displays perfectly the character and life of all Chis and Sid pupils”.

The 17-year-old told News Shopper: “The song was chosen as it was released almost seven years ago, on the May 17 2009, which is the year that we first joined the school, and so was a nostalgic throwback to our childhood.

“Last year, Chis and Sid's year 13 produced a music video to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, which has had 93,000 views.

“We hope we can match that, or even beat it with this year’s video.”
