An update on what the MoD found.

A Gravesend primary school has been evacuated after the discovery of an unexploded bomb earlier today (May 17).

Kent Police were called to Holy Trinity Church of England School, in Trinity Road, just before 2.50pm – after a teacher found what they believed to be an unexploded World War II bomb.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) team is on its way to the school.

A police spokesman said: “The school was evacuated as a precaution.

“There are no injuries and no concerns, we just need to get the experts in to have a look at it.”
