Both swimming pools at Sidcup Leisure Centre are still closed five days after a burst pipe flooded the plant room (May 4).
Staff were forced to shut the pools on Friday (April 29), and have warned they are not expected to re-open until tomorrow at the earliest.
The swimming spots remained closed throughout the bank holiday weekend, although the rest of the centre was open to the public.
A Bexley Council spokesman said: “A specialist contractor is due on site later today (May 4), so we will know more once they have investigated fully.
“The rest of the centre is still open.”
A statement on the leisure centre’s Facebook page reads: “Currently the pools will not be accessible until Thursday at the earliest however this may change in due course.
“The centre is attempting to make contact with all customers that have booked pool activities.
“If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the centre on 0208 302 0556.”
Bexley Council and Sidcup Leisure Centre both apologised for any inconvenience caused - and hope to have an update later today.
