A teenager was stabbed in broad daylight in Abbey Wood over the weekend.
Police confirmed they were called to the football cage on Wolvercote Road on Sunday at around 5.45pm, where a 19-year-old was suffering from a stab wound.
There have been unconfirmed local reports that the teenager was stabbed with some kind of cordless drill or screwdriver.
London's Air Ambulance landed nearby, but the youngster was rushed to a south London hospital by land ambulance.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: "The 19-year-old man was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
An investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made.
