An elderly woman remains in hospital in a critical condition after her car overturned near Bromley Common yesterday.
She was one of the drivers involved in a two-car crash in Hastings Road at around 2.15pm.
The woman, aged in her 80s, was rushed to hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition, police said.
Declan O Donohoe was cycling around 30m behind the victim's car when the crash happened.
The 51-year-old said he saw another car pull out from a side turning in front of her when the vehicles collided.
Mr O Donohoe, from Bromley, said the impact "caused her to career across the opposing lane where her car flipped after hitting something."
He told News Shopper: "She wasn't travelling all that fast thats why when I left the scene it didn't occur to me that either driver would be seriously injured."
After careering into the opposite lane and almost hitting a jogger, the car came to a stop on its side, Mr O Donohoe said.
He said witnessing the accident was "shocking and out of the blue".
