The bank holiday weather looks set to be a washout with forecasters predicting rain, wind and clouds.
However all is not lost, as a mini-heatwave could bring sunnier spells for the end of the week, with temperatures set to hit 18C. in south-east London.
The forecast for today and tomorrow looks generally mild and overcast, with max temperatures of 15C. before the rain moves in on Monday.
Those thinking of spending the bank holiday Monday outdoors may have to think again, as forecasters predict dark clouds and heavy showers throughout the day.
But the weather looks likely to warm up as we make our way towards Thursday - when temperatures of 18C. and sunny spells are on the horizon for much of the south-east.
