Police were called to two separate stabbings in the Lewisham borough over the space of two days.

A 27-year-old man was knifed at a property in New Cross Road just after 9.30pm on April 27.

Officers from Crofton Park were first on the scene.

He was rushed to a south London hospital suffering two stab wounds to his back, and his condition was not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

Enquiries continues and no arrests have been made.

In an unrelated incident in the early hours of this morning (April 29), officers found a 22-year-old with a stab wound in Sydenham.

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a man stabbed in Burghill Road at around 2am.

He too was taken to a south London hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition, a Met Police spokesman said.
