Six to ten teenagers were involved in the New Cross brawl which led to a 17-year-old aspiring musician being stabbed to death on Sunday (April 3), police have confirmed.

Tributes have flooded in on social media for Myron-Isaac Yarde, known musically as MDOT, and a fundraising page to help with the cost of the funeral has raised over £3,500 in just one day.

Jay Thomas, who is fundraising to help Myron's family with funeral costs, said: "I want to give Myron the send-off he deserves.

"He had a lot of friends and everybody knew who he was.

"We were good friends, I met him through his music and had been to a lot of his performances.

"His main focus was music and his goals were always to make it in music."

He added: "He never got into anything - he barely had a fight much less get stabbed to death by someone.

"He was so young. It's such a shock especially for a guy like Myron."

Deptford teenager Myron was found by police officers on Camplin Street after they were called to an altercation on New Cross Road.

He had suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital where he died just after 9pm.

Two male youths, aged 15 and 16, were arrested close to the scene.

Today (April 5) they were bailed for further police enquiries.
