A body has been found at a residential address in Foreshore, Deptford.
A spokesperson from the Met Police said: "Police officers are present at a residential address in Foreshore, Deptford, following concerns raised for the welfare of the occupant.
"The body of a man has been found at the location.
"At this very early stage the death is not thought to be suspicious.
"A number of neighbouring properties had to be evacuated as a precaution, but residents have now returned to their homes.
"Local road closures have been lifted."
Lewisham Police advised the public earlier this morning to avoid Foreshore in Deptford while they dealt with an ongoing incident.
The London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance were also present.
