Almost five acres of Dartford Heath have been ravaged by fire.
Two hectares of dense heathland and undergrowth was alight yesterday afternoon (February 28) as fire crews tackled the flames just after 4pm.
The blaze picked up between Old Bexley Lane and Heath Lane with two fire engines and a fogging unit sent to the combat the flames.
Kent Fire and Rescue were able to surround the fire by 4.44pm and extinguished it ten minutes later.
