First there was the Woolwich peacock, but now another fancy bird has taken to strutting the streets of nearby Plumstead.
The feathered friend was spotted by eagle eyed residents taking a wander through the town.
Snapped more than once on its travels yesterday (February 24), many residents joked that the fowl was ‘fair game’ for dinner.

But the mystery of where the creature has come from remains, with fears it could be someone’s pet which could fall prey to an urban fox.
Not the first majestic animal to grace the local skies, a peacock was spied on top of a man’s house in Claydon Mews, Woolwich, last October.
Named Gilly, it was believed to have come from Charlton Petting Zoo, where it was said to have fled after being bullied.
It was still roaming the streets nearly a month after its first sighting.
