A nine-year-old boy is in a serious condition after being hit by a car in Petts Wood.
The youngster was knocked down in Station Square just before 6pm last night (February 2).
London’s Air Ambulance, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) rushed to the scene.
They treated the child for multiple injuries, an LAS spokesman said.
MORE TOP STORIES The boy was rushed to a trauma centre as a priority, where he is in a serious but stable condition.
A spokesman for the Met confirmed his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver, who remained at the scene, was not arrested.
Roads were closed in the aftermath of the accident, and people took to social media to express their shock.
Enquiries are ongoing.
