Motorists are being asked to wait in order to avoid queues building up inside the tunnel.

A spokesman for Kent County Council (KCC) said: “There is slow moving traffic on the M25 anticlockwise due to intermittent holding of traffic at the Dartford Tunnel due to works at M25 J30.
“[This is] to prevent traffic queuing into the Dartford Tunnel.
“Please allow additional time for your journey.”
