From banknotes and statues to stars and planets, fans of Beckenham music legend David Bowie have been making suggestions about how best to remember him following his death.
News Shopper has rounded up the best of the weird and wonderful online petitions set up in a bid to honour the veteran rock star in the weeks since he died.
1. A PLANET
London-based artist and visual Danny Rapscallion launched a petition to rename the planet Mars after Bowie.
He wrote: “Essentially David Bowie has inspired millions through his art and music particularly spotlighting his fascination with space, the planets & extra terrestrial existence.”
Signatures: 7,300
2. BRING HIM BACK FROM THE DEAD
OK, so a tad unrealistic but Italian fan Andrea Natella, from Rome, started a petition calling on God to bring the rocker back from the dead.
She simply wrote: “Say NO to David Bowie dead.”
Signatures: 11,430
3. A BANKNOTE
Another Bowie-centric petition called on Bank of England governor Mark Carney to print the singer’s image on the new £20 note.
But the Bank of England later ruled out the suggestion.

4. A STATUE
A petition has been also been launched for a memorial or statue to commemorate Bowie at the Croydon Road Recreation Ground bandstand in Beckenham where he performed in 1969 - the same year he first appeared in the charts with Space Oddity.
Signatures: 4,229
5. A STAMP
Natalie Fenn, from Crawley, started a petition to replace HRH with rock royalty Bowie on Royal Mail’s postage stamps.
She wrote: “David Bowie is a national treasure and a music legend. A huge number of us fans would like to see him on the face of a special edition postal stamp.”
Signatures: 7,770
6. A STAR
Yes, that’s right. Some fans want the next constellation discovered by astronomers to be named after the Starman singer.
Signatures: 8,540
7. STOP KANYE WEST COVERING HIS MUSIC
After the Daily Star sparked rumours US rapper Kanye West was recording a Bowie tribute album, outraged fans launched a petition to put a stop to it.
Peter Piranha, who started the 38 Degrees petition, wrote: “David Bowie was one of the single most important musicians of the 20th and 21st century, it would be a sacrilege to let it be ruined by Kanye West.”
