A Chislehurst mum-of-two has been left unable to sleep at night after thieves ransacked her home and snatched her pet pug.

Burglars smashed through the back door at Natalie Bayram’s house in Woodside Avenue on Monday (January 18) between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

The culprits left behind a trail of muddy footprints as they made their way upstairs before stealing her five-year-old pug Dollie and valuables including a TV and jewellery.

Mrs Bayram, 33, who lives with her husband Ferhat and two young children Leo, four, and new-born baby boy Lex, told News Shopper: “It’s been an absolute nightmare. I think we are still in shock actually.

“Taking the dog is just really low.

“My husband came home, walked into the kitchen and saw the back door was all smashed in.

“There was mud all up the stairs. He called me to come home as I was round at my mum’s and I was there within minutes.

“The burglars just headed straight up the stairs to the main bedroom. They pretty much opened every cupboard and tipped every drawer out.

“I can’t sleep because I am so worried they are going to come back.”

A linen basket is missing from another room in the house, which Mrs Bayram believes the burglars used to contain the dog.

“Dollie is so small. It’s really horrible,” she added.

“She was dumped by her previous owner because they decided they didn’t want her.

“I just can’t bear the thought of her suffering.

“I had to explain to my son where the dog was. He thinks she has gone to hospital.”

Mrs Bayram reported the burglary to the police and registered her pug as stolen with dog rescue communities DogLost and Petlog.

She described Dollie as a small, black pug with a distinctive blue eye, which needs veterinary treatment.
