One of the unions involved in the night Tube dispute in London has suspended planned strikes to allow talks to continue.
Unite, which represents 600 engineers and maintenance staff on London Underground, was due to join three 24 hour walkouts planned by two other unions.
The strikes by members of the drivers' union Aslef and the Rail, Maritime and Transport union, are still due to go ahead at the end of the month and in mid February.
Talks were held at the conciliation service Acas on Friday and are set to resume this week.
Hugh Roberts, national officer of Unite said: "Unite is suspending its three days of strike action this month and in February over pay and night working on the London Underground.
"This is to allow for further talks with the conciliation service Acas on these issues. We will approach these talks in a constructive fashion and urge LU management to do the same."
