Council plans to restructure Bexley's youth services could see the equivalent of seven full-time positions cut.
Full details of the proposals have not yet been released but they will be discussed at a public cabinet meeting on January 26.
A spokeswoman for Bexley Council said: "If approved, the changes will offer greater value for money for Bexley’s taxpayers by reviewing the service and targeting its resources as well as helping the council to balance its budget in response to the ever increasing demand on services and the continuing reductions in government funding.
"The proposed changes will mean a greater focus on targeting help and support to those young people most in need - it does not mean closure of all Bexley’s youth clubs."
She added: "If the proposals are accepted there could be a number of staff reductions - the equivalent of seven full time positions.
"Those affected will be fully supported throughout the process."
Will your children be affected by these proposed changes?
