A 7.6 acre site in Dartford has been sold by the National Grid for more than £3 million.

The deal for the former National Grid site at Littlebrook Manor Way, was arranged by Capita Real Estate and completed by January 7.

The 7.6 acre site, which included an 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse and a 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse has been sold to JKS Aggregates - a company that supplies sand, stone, ballast and crushed concrete.

Capita acted on behalf of National Grid Properties Holdings that had the land for more than 20 years.

A spokesman from the National Grid said: “The land was once used by our electricity transmission business which had a depot, offices and a warehouse there.

“However we have not used the land for this purpose for a number of years and it’s been leased to tenants.”

The land had been used by the rail company for warehouse storage and office functions to support their Electrical transmission operations.

Andrew Smith, agency director for Capita Real Estate, said: “This site has a number of excellent benefits including its access to the M25, the nearby transition station and the QE2 Bridge.

“The value we achieved demonstrates the strength of the local market.”
