Here’s how you and your children can get the magical experience of seeing Santa fly over south-east London and north Kent on Christmas Eve.

Eagle-eyed kids and grown-ups will be able to catch a glimpse of the big man and his reindeer in the sky on December 24, and his nice elves have leaked the secret details of the route to us.

The shimmering lights of his sleigh will be visible over our area early in the evening - but only very briefly.

If the sky is clear, the lights will be seen over London and north Kent at 5.21pm as Father Christmas flies by.

  • To see Santa, look up into the sky in a south/south-westerly direction, 14 degrees above SSW to be precise

Be punctual though - the lights will be visible for a minute, before Santa disappears in a southerly direction.

A few killjoys, scientists and Santa-deniers will try to tell you the light is actually the International Space Station - but don't be fooled by their scurrilous claims!
