Bexley families came one step closer to Christmas after meeting Santa himself and two special reindeer - Tinsel and Star - in Bexleyheath.

The Danson Children's Centre hosted the under 5's winter event, bringing hundreds of people to Brampton Road last month (November 21).
Philippa Norris, the Children's Centre manager, said: ""It was a brilliant day - 340 people came along.
“It was a lovely way to kick start festive celebrations and we received excellent feedback from the families who came.
The under 5's event was a big hit with the little ones
“The mayor came, it was a very welcomed opportunity for families to share what Danson means to them.”
As well as the reindeer, there were plenty of other activities to add festive cheer including Father Christmas and his helpful elves, crafts and a live music.
It was smiles all round at the event hosted by The Danson Youth and Community Centre
