Three men fled after the car the were travelling in ploughed into another in New Ash Green, leaving a 56-year-old dead.

A blue Ford KA and a green Ford Explorer crashed in Ash Road at the junction with North Ash Road, shortly before midnight today (November 28).

The driver of the KA, a man who lived locally, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are hunting for the three men who were travelling in the Explorer and are believed to have fled from the crash.

Sergeant Chris Wade, of the serious collision investigation unit, said: “We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or the movements of either vehicle in the moments leading up to it.

“I would also urge anyone who knows the identities or whereabouts of the Ford Explorer passengers to contact us urgently.”
