Orpington MP Jo Johnson visited Hillside Primary School for the unveiling of its brand new "hub".
The Minister of State for Universities and Science was greeted by the Hillside junior leadership team and shown around the brand new facility made up of a science and art studio, a kitchenette, laundry and a meeting room.
Part of The Priory Academy Trust, the Dyke Drive school recently acquired a new headmaster - Tim Smith.
Mr Smith, who also opened a brand new library at the school earlier this year, spending £16,000 on the refurbishment and £9,000 on purchasing books.
Mr Johnson said: "The new Hillside hub is a modern, well-designed, and well-utilised space for pupils to enjoy.
"I was impressed to hear of the progress that the school is making under the new headmaster, Mr Smith.
"Whilst I understand that there is still some work to be done, it is developments such as this that prove Hillside is headed in the right direction."
