Work to fix a burst water main which flooded Temple Hill, Dartford, is expected to last through the day, with the road remaining closed westbound until tomorrow (November 25).
Meanwhile, Transport for London are warning of "severe delays" to buses in the area - due to traffic diversions.
One Dartford driver told News Shopper there had been a "torrent" of water yesterday, with some evidence of flooding remaining today.
She added: "There was only a few inches of standing water this morning. Yesterday it was probably at least a foot deep."
A Thames Water spokesman apologised to Dartford drivers for delays around Mill Pond Road this morning.
He said: "Work to repair the pipe continues today, with one lane closed and temporary, three-way traffic lights in place.
"We're sorry for the disruption and will return the road to normal as quickly as possible."
Meanwhile shadow deputy council leader Daisy Page was told by a Thames Water spokesman that the suspected source of the leak had finally been located in Central Road this afternoon.
The spokesman added: "We will soon be shutting off the water supply to the industrial estate for a short time.
"Our customer representatives have visited each business that will be affected and have discussed their needs on a one to one basis.
"We are sorry for the disruption this burst is causing the local area."
Last night, Thames Water were warning the leak could affect mains supply to homes and businesses in the area.
At least four homes were thought to have been left without running water.
A Thames Water spokesman said last night: "We're sorry for the disruption caused by our burst water pipe.

"We need to keep the road closed while our repair work continues through this evening but we're working hard to get the job done as quickly as we can."
Residents joked that Mill Pond Road was living up to its name - as the town centre road, just minutes from the station, flooded.
The road closures affect the junction with Overy Street, Mill Pond Road and Central Road.
