A 41-year-old man has been arrested after a young woman was raped in a Grove Park alleyway.
The 20-year-old victim contacted police on Wednesday (November 11) to report she had been attacked at around 9.15pm in the alley at the end of Marvels Lane.
She was taken to a sexual assault referral centre, which offers support for rape victims, police say.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s and 5ft 9ins tall.
He wore a black hoody, black jogging bottoms and trainers.
The man arrested in connection with the investigation has been bailed to a date in December pending further enquiries.
Officers from the sexual offences exploitation and child abuse command urge anyone with information to assist the investigation or who can identify the man to call 0208 7214676, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
