A huge snake, thought to be a boa constrictor, was photographed by two dog-walkers in Danson Park, Bexley last Friday (November 6).
Debbie Liddy and her husband Kevin Liddy, of Park View Road, Welling, captured the snake on camera in Danson Park while they were walking their four dogs.
Mrs Liddy said: “It was curled up and much bigger than the photo shows.
“Snakes don’t bother me but I was worried it might kill our Chihuahuas."

The couple called the RSPCA but left as a small crowd gathered.
It is speculated that the snake is a pet that may have escaped from its tank.

The slithery sighting follows another incident involving a snake, thought to be a grass snake, that had slipped into a grandmother’s pond in Joydens Wood, Wilmington last month (October 18).
The Wilmington resident’s granddaughter, Vicky Hodges, commented: “There's a whole army [in the area].
“Another family member spotted it, [we’re] all very shocked.
“It's not everyday you come across a snake in Bexley, let alone that size.”
Wayne May, a wildlife expert and head of the Dartford charity, Artisan Rare Breeds and Animal Rescue in Brent Lane, confirmed that over the past two years, he and a colleague had rescued over 300 hundred snakes in and around Kent.

Mr May said: “To be honest I don’t know why snakes get abandoned.
“Probably about 90 per cent of all keepers are really good, but unfortunately by one person dumping a snake, everyone gets tarred with the same brush.
“300 rescued snakes sounds like a large number but when you compare that figure to the hundreds and thousands of snakes kept in the UK, it’s not really.”
The RSPCA have been contacted for a comment.
