A lorry driver has been arrested after an elderly woman was knocked down in Greenwich.
The pedestrian, believed to be in her 80s, has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
She was struck by a lorry in Lewisham Road at the junction with Friendly Place shortly after 9am.
Police were called to the crash by London Ambulance Service paramedics and the lorry driver was arrested and taken to a south London police station.
Lewisham road has been closed between Blackheath Road and John Penn Street for more than three hours as police investigate.
Witnesses or anyone with information are being asked to call police on 101.
