Bromley Council are asking residents to share their views on proposed development sites for future school, employment and housing use across the borough.

A public consultation is under way into Bromley’s Local Plan, which will set out a pattern of development for the next 15 years.

Residents and businesses have until October 31 to respond at bromley.gov.uk/localplan.

Executive councillor for renewal and recreation Peter Morgan said: "Whether it be homes, schools for our children or premises for business to thrive and prosper, we need to ensure we have the right development coming forwards in the right place.

"The emerging Local Plan has to balance the need for land for development coming forward with the continued protection of the high quality environment that makes Bromley an attractive place to live, work and visit."

Responses will contribute to a Draft Local Plan, which will undergo another consultation before it is submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination in 2016.

Printed copies of the consultation documents are available at local libraries, the Cotmandene and Mottingham Community and Learning shops, Bromley’s Civic Centre and Community House in South Street, Bromley.
