A Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) spokesman said: "KFRS was called to a vehicle fire on the M25 j2 anticlockwise just after 7am this morning.

"Fire crews used foam to bring the fire under control.

"The fire involved a BMW people carrier and one man was handed into the care of the ambulance service.

"The scene was handed over to the Highways Agency just after 8am and the lane re-opened."
